Oswald's Gin Distillery | Branding Concept + Recipes

CONCEPT:
A series of bottles, and of course corresponding cocktails, we designed using original artworks and clear simple typography.
Each gin features a range of Australian native botanicals whose flavour profile is reflective of each location. The packaging is artistic, adventurous and playful. The series of illustrations were designed to take drinkers on a journey by catering the colours and feel of each location.
The distillery's logo placed high and proud on the bottle, is reminiscent of a wax star, acting as a mark of quality. A bespoke word make, featuring an illustration of a camper van exemplifies the adventurous flavour and location influences of the gin. It was also important that the story of the gin's creation was placed on the front of each bottle to further romanticise the brand.
The finishing touch is a clean coloured coded modular system to help navigation through the range.

PASSION ON THE BEACH

3 sprigs of mint
Pulp from 6 passionfruit
1/3 cup lime juice
3 cups soda water
3 shots rum
3 shots gin
Lots of ice

KICK BACK G+T
Makes 1
1 cup tonic water
1 shot Gin
1 shot lime juice
1 lime slice
Silver of cucumber
Sprinkle of pink peppercorns

DESERT LAVA LAMP
Makes 1
1 tsp honey
2 dashes bitters
1 cup lemonade
1 shot Cointreau
1 shot gin
Slice of orange
Fresh fingerlimes
- The carbonation in the lemonade makes the gems of fingerlime float to the service and then drop, giving the appearance of a lava lamp.

ROSE SANGRIA
Makes approx 8
1 bottle pink lemonade
1 bottle sparkling rosé
1 punnet fresh strawberries
2 tsp rose water
1/3 cup vodka
1/3 cup gin
Fresh rose petals to garnish
Combine everything in a large jug.

HIGHLANDER'S MARTINI
Makes 2
2 shot Gin
2 shot lemon juice
4 tsp grenadine
4 tsp be
1 egg white
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and all ingredients. Shake and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with fresh flowers.
